As the ceremonies concluded and people began to file out of the auditorium, Akane linked her arm within Shinnosuke's and stood up. Her eyes meandered around the room, scanning for that pig-tailed idiot but was unable to spot him. Gritting her teeth, she turned back to Shinnosuke, "What would you like to see first?" Akane forced a soft-smile on her face. She lead him out of the area and into the quad, marvelling at the large expanse that was the Bushidou Academy Campus. Tall buildings, linked together by overpasses between the halls; colorful foliage decorating the walkways and around the windows; green grass and tall trees over it, providing extra space for people to sit with friends during their freetime; tables sporatically placed through the quad and beyond, all of which created a generally welcoming atmosphere for its students. Simply put: It was gorgeous. And she'd only seen the quad area; they still hadn't seen the rest of the campus. She looked to the boy next to her, increasing the smile that was on her face and waited for his answer.
"I don't really know..." he replied shyly. A light blush continued to cover across his cheeks as he felt Akane's arm link a little tighter. But he smiled shyly, notheless, trying to act cool.He raised his arms and pointed to the body of water just up yonder, "How about the lake over there?"
Her eyes followed the direction of his pointed finger, viewing the lake that wasn't too far off. Agreeing with Shinnosuke's idea, Akane began to walk with him to the landmark. She hadn't been expecting to see a lake remotely near the campus, and as a result, found herself taken slightly aback. She figured, however, that there would be many more surprises to come, so she might as well get used to it.
Together, they walked, Shinnosuke slightly nervous. To his surprise, however, his face was in control and he continued to hold onto to his composure. As they reached to the lake, he let at a awe. Looking down at Akane, he gave a gentle smile, before turning back to the view of the lake, "It's beautiful, isn't it?"
A duck descended from the sky, flying over the lake and joining a small flock at the other end, gliding softly onto the water. The smile grew on her lips as she watched the scene. "It really is beautiful" She agreed, taking note of the tall trees and sky reflected on the rippling water. She couldn't help but wonder why there would be a lake near a school campus; perhaps it would be used for aquatic exercises? Or maybe it was just a nice area for lunch between classes, or people to take their dates after dinner. Inwardly, Akane felt amused: who in their right mind would take a date to their school? Her mind wandered to Ranma. He wouldn't know romance if it kicked him in the head! That idiot. She turned to Shinnosuke, "Let's go," she stated, taking a step backwards. "Unless you want to stay here for awhile."
"No, no. That's all right" he shook her head at her, "I could always come back here later. So, where do you want to go next?"
Akane thought for a moment, looking behind her as she tried to figure out where they could go next. She would definitely have to come back to the lake later. "Would you like to go find the dorms? It would probably help to know where we're living while we stay here."
He nodded. That was a good idea. He needed to know where his dorm was and who he would be staying with. What was his dorm again? Oh wait! He had a paper that STATES it! (It's best if he kept it with him at all time.)Shinnosuke dug deep in his pocket to pull out a crumpled paper, "I'm in room 109B it seems."
Akane nodded, looking around for a sign that might have indicated where they could go. Spotting one, she used her free arm to point towards the left. "The dorms are this way" She pointed out, leading Shinnosuke down the pathway. The two came across the first building, labelled, 'A,' where Akane made a mental note to return later, and moved onto the second building, which was labelled "B.""Here we are!" She chimed. [Do we invade Ranma's thread or start a new one? o.o]
